The Board

Martin is the Chief Executive Officer of Crystal Capital & Investments Limited. He has proven track record of thought-leadership, strategy and transaction structuring as well as industry expertise and intimate knowledge of the Ghanaian market. Martin is adept at providing depth and value to our clients. As a Strategist and Economist, Martin has designed a Strategy Execution Model (SEM), which provides a framework for the execution of strategy within an organization.

He is an Economist and Banker with over 20 years’ experience. He is a past Acting Managing Director of First Atlantic Bank. Prior to this appointment, he acted as the Chief Marketing Officer (DMD, Business Development) and managed the entire business as the sole Business Executive, after the re-organisation of the Bank.

Martin has previously worked in various capacities with Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Ltd. as Associate Director, Local Corporates, Credit Analysis and Economic Intelligence in the Origination and Client Coverage Department as well as the Head of Country Strategy & Economic Intelligence, where he passionately drove the development and support of the bank's strategy and approach to continuously build a sustainable business franchise in Ghana. As the head of Country Strategy and Intelligence, he spearheaded ALCO and Board discussions on the industry and helped to identify risks and opportunities.

Prior to this, he worked as an Economist in the Monetary Policy Analysis and Financial Stability Department of Ghana’s Central Bank, where he provided technical assistance to the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) in the area of financial stability. He also worked in the Banking Supervision Department as a Bank Examiner.

John holds a University of Birmingham (UK) MBA in Banking and Finance and is a Chartered Accountant with over twenty-five (25) years post qualification experience. He has in-depth knowledge of the Oil Industry and considerable knowledge of the workings in the banking sector.

He has worked with Bulk Oil Storage and Transportation Co. Ltd (BOST) as the Executive Director for Finance since 2008 and briefly performed the role of Acting Managing Director in 2012. His vast knowledge and experience spans the Upstream, Refinery and Downstream of the Petroleum Industry.

Prior to this, he was the Chief Accountant for Tema Oil Refinery for ten (10) years. He also worked in the Audit Department of the Ghana National Petroleum Corporation for five (5) years. In this role, he had the opportunity to review and interact with the total operations of the Corporation. His earlier experience also includes the Insurance Industry, having worked as Chief Accountant of Great African Insurance Company.

John has acquired invaluable experience and knowledge in the Refinery business and all related businesses in the Petroleum Industry through hands-on approach to work and excellent human relations.

Lorriene is a Human Resource practitioner and an Administrator with about 18 years’ cumulative working experience in various fields, 9 of which have been in a senior administrative management position. Currently as the Finance and Administrative Manager of the International Water Management Institute (IWMI), she manages the Human Resources, Finance and Administrative functions of the IWMI-Ghana office that extends to five other hosted organisations which are part of the Consultative Group of International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) Centres.

Lorriene has previously worked as the Office Manager with the USAID funded Trade and Investment Programme for a Competitive Export Economy (TIPCEE), managed by Chemonics International Inc., head quartered in the United States of America. She also worked as an Office Manager on the SAVVY TRAIL PROJECT at the Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research, the first of its kind in the country. She effectively managed and coordinated the human resource and administrative functions of the study office.

Prior to the foregoing, she also worked as a Programmes Officer at the Institute of Economic Affairs (IEA). Her prior experience includes working as a Project Officer at the National Council on Women and Development (NCWD).

John Adanu | Head, Finance

John is the Head of Finance for Crystal Capital & Investments Limited. He is a banker and financial analysis with over 10 years’ experience. He has an appreciable working experience in accounting & banking, auditing & research; Oil & Gas, Haulage and Printing business.

He has worked with First Atlantic Bank as the Head of Strategy and Business Performance. Prior to this he worked with Standard Chartered Bank Ghana Limited in various capacities as Team Leader and Reporting Manager at Standard Chartered Bank –West Africa Hub; Group Accountant, Standard Chartered bank –UK, Operational Risk Manager and Operations Officer.

He also served on several projects while working at Standard Chartered Bank including Core Banking System Implementation-Chennai-India, Group Finance System Implementation-Kenya, IFRS Automation-Nigeria, Swift Alliance Implementation-Kenya etc.

John is the immediate past General Manager of Grace Petroleum and Giyikro Enterprise as well as a past Finance Director of Rehoboth Properties. As the General Manager of Grace Petroleum, he led a team of consultants from South Africa and Geneva to work on the strategy and due diligence of the company to attract Puma Energy as a strategic Investor. He also supported Rehoboth Properties to access funds from Shelter Afrique to support its expansion agenda.

John holds a Management of Institute of Canada (Ontario) Msc. in Finance and a First Class in Bachelor of Science in Administration (Accounting), Part II of Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.

Makafui Honya | Head, Corporate Affairs & Strategy Execution

Makafui Honya is the Head, Corporate Affairs & Strategy Execution at Crystal Capital & Investments Limited. She holds an MSc. in African Studies from the University of Oxford, UK and a Bachelor of Arts degree (Hons.) in Political Science and Psychology from the University of Ghana.

Makafui is currently responsible for the Company’s Corporate Social Investment Strategy and also for devising tactics that link the Company’s strategy to value. Prior to this, she was the Company’s Head for Strategy Execution & Performance Management.

In her earlier experience, Makafui worked with Home Fundraising UK, Ministry of Foreign Affairs & RI, Ghana and the Electoral Commission of Ghana.

Isaac Kyeremeh | Head, Asset Management

Isaac Kyeremeh is the Head, Asset management for Crystal Capital & Investments Limited. He holds a Master of Science degree in Industrial Finance & Investment from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Financial Mathematics from the University of Development Studies.

Isaac joined the company in 2015 as an Investment Analyst and quickly rose to become the Head, Asset Management. He is responsible for all aspects of administrative, financial, capital and operations of assigned portfolio.
